Nice park and good plantation....
I wanted to post a picture of the office sign that states (in large text) all dogs must be on a hand held leash but it's dark as I am writing this post. All week we have seen dogs belonging to office personnel running around off leash. There were other dogs from the area off leash as well. We had to put away some of our outside decorations because a male dog decided to mark on our site and belongings. Disgusting!! There are also cats running around everywhere. Every time I open my door to take my dogs out (on a leash) there is a cat to drive my dogs crazy.
Would stay here again.
Although I never felt unsafe here I think next time we will stay across the bridge in Vidalia.
This RV park is really a trailer park. While there are a few long term campers, the majority of the traffic is from the trailer park in the back. We arrived on a Sunday when the office was closed. We had reservations but there was no paperwork at the front office. Usually there is an after hours box providing a map and directions to campsite. My husband had to walk around the "campground" to find a site and then back the camper 50 yards back in the street because our rig is too large to maneuver around the small office parking lot. Site is level and partially paved. Full hookups although we did notice some flux in the power. (Thankfully we have a surge protector.)
Our only complaint is the noise from highway 61, but that's because of the proximity to the highway that makes it very easy to find and access. Bring earplugs and a white noise machine. Just a few minutes from downtown.
Don't be fooled by the website...2 years later, and it's still the same (as the previous review states) still no toilet paper, no hand soap, no paper towels/hand dryer, the light in the shower was burned out, they keep the doors open so it was filled with bugs and webs, the pool water was green. Only positives that I would give this campground is that there was lots of shade, electric and water worked well at our site, and the guy at the office was friendly.
This park is definitely not for "glamping", but really there's nothing seriously wrong with it.
Stay Out: Infested with Bugs, bed bugs, lice, fleas, roaches, mice and Meth heads. I had to throw away 2 sets of furniture trying to live here. Proof: Look around the dumpsters.. Years of furniture that has been throwed away from the infestations. They even allow you to fill giant holes on the property with infested furniture. A real live He'll on Earth
This is a tale of two parks: an RV park and a mobile home park. We found it to be more than adequate for our weekend stay in Natchez in our travel trailer . I can't comment on the mobile home section or the conditions of the pool, showers, or bathrooms because we didn't need to go there or use them. The laundry room was open so I took a look inside and didn't see any problems. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The RV sites are wide, deep, in good condition, and our site's electric water, sewer, cable, and wireless worked well.
