The owner, Regina, is SO nice! I loved visiting with her. She is the President of the Garden Club that keeps Stanton Hall and just an all-around “wow” kind of person. Writes cookbooks you should TOTALLY look at upstairs, gave me some spooky Tavern history and extra flatbread with my hummus, which was just so kind. I would go back just to see her and her husband...they are truly a delightful pair. It truly had a REAL English pub feel, communal seating...like you could just see yourself drinking merrily into the evening. Just saying...went to The Carriage House for brunch. MUCH preferred King’s laid-back vibe.
Anyone visiting Natchez should stop here at least once. The food was fantastic, the drinks were wonderful and the employees were great. The bartender really makes you feel welcome. We stopped in twice on our last visit. Dinner and drinks one night. Dessert and drinks another night.
A must stop for a great lunch we dined on the steak with garlic mashed potatoes and glazed carrots, topped off with a vodka drink called the big easy! Everything was delicious! The hosts are friendly and attentive! The tavern dates back to the late 1700's.
Initially went here to get the taste of Magnolia Grill out of my mouth, but this place is AMAZING! The food has great flavor, unique blends, and the atmosphere is friendly. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Natchez, you will not be disappointed ❤️
