Excellent food and good customer service
The food is outstanding. I had the ribeye with mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes and my wife had the shrimp and scallops. We started out with fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. Everything was so good.
I was excited to eat here on Valentines Day with a reservation. When I arrived I was sent to a separate room to wait. Barely anyone acknowledged us and left us in the dark as to when we will be seated. After nearly 30 min of this I hunted down the man who left us there, telling him nicely how long it has been and that we will eat somewhere else. It was clear that he didn't really care and didn't try to make it right. Horrible.
I LOVED this place. Great way to tour Monmouth for free, as you can do so after your meal in the evening. I wouldn’t pay $15 separately, as that wouldn’t be worth it, but that is a good way to see a pretty place after a great meal at no additional expense. Dunleith is the same way...wish Stanton Hall was. I sort of felt that place was a bit of a rip-off compared to Monmouth and Dunleith where you can tour for free if you eat on the premises. Monmouth is TRULY beautiful. Sunday night had dinner by candlelight, so uncrowded. It was amazing. The biscuits were great, and I enjoyed them with my soup. The server was great. Very relaxing. LOVE Monmouth. Also found Quitman’s Lounge to be super cool. I probably sound cheap, but for value, I don’t think you can beat Monmouth and Dunleith. Both are exquisite.
Reasonably priced and the best atmosphere. Live piano music is a great touch. Staff are accommodating. Take a stroll in the gardens after dinner.
The service was even better. Very attentive and made us feel as if we were their only customers. There were at least 5 other full tables in the small room we were in.
